This edition is prepared specially for Mikhail Larionov exhibition and is dedicated to the art of one of the most prominent representative of the Russian avant-garde of the early 20th century. The catalogue includes numerous articles of different aspects of Mikhail Larionov’s art, namely painting, drawing, theatre of both Russian and French periods. Larionov’s work as a curator of various exhibitions and as on organizer of artistic unions is also touched upon. Special section of the catalogue is dedicated to Larionov’s personal collection. It gives a chance to get acquainted with unique photographs associated with the history of ballet, with Russian and oriental luboks, and with personal library of the artists. The review of Larionov’s personal archive and certain documents from it are published together with the chronicle which highlights key events from Larionov’s life, namely exhibitions, performances, his work on certain editions and his meeting with other artists.
