The Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 was the last separate conflict between the two Eastern monarchies. Previously the two countries faced each other in ten military conflicts from 1569 to 1878. After that period there was yet another collision during the First World War when the two empires will stand against each other as part of the Entente and Central Forces.
